Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

Roll is provided by Nagi Labs LLC, a New York limited liability company (“Nagi Labs,” “Roll,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern our apps, App Clip, extensions, websites, links, and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms and permit your use. If you use Roll on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. You may not use Roll where prohibited by law.

2. How Roll works

Roll lets people create or schedule shared event albums, capture and upload photos and videos, use visual filters, save and share media, and interact through comments and likes where available. Features may differ between the full app, App Clip, extensions, devices, and versions.

Anyone eligible to use Roll can download the app and sign in to host a Roll without a separate host invitation. Joining a particular Roll still requires its valid code, QR code, link, or another supported access method. Guests may join and browse through supported invitation flows; hosting, publishing media, commenting, and liking require sign-in.

Hosts and participants are responsible for the events they organize or attend, who receives access, and their conduct. Nagi Labs provides the technology and does not organize, supervise, insure, or guarantee an event, host, participant, or their content.

3. Accounts and shared access

Use accurate account information and keep your device and sign-in credentials secure. Supported sign-in methods include Apple, Google, and verified phone sign-in. Some features use an anonymous guest identity. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account and must tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.

When you request phone verification, you authorize the messages needed to complete that request. Carrier message and data charges may apply. Verification and notifications depend on third-party delivery and may be delayed or unavailable.

A Roll code or link may be forwarded, and anyone who obtains working access may be able to join and view, save, or share content. Invitation pages and previews may show the Roll’s cover, host, event information, and, in joining flows, participant previews. Choose content and distribute access accordingly. An invitation does not guarantee confidentiality or verify anyone’s identity.

Do not impersonate someone, transfer or sell unauthorized access, guess codes, automate account creation, or bypass access controls or usage limits.

4. Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, audio, comments, profile images, Roll details, and other material you provide (“User Content”). You are responsible for that content and for having the rights and permissions needed to capture, upload, and share it, including rights relating to people depicted, music, and other third-party material. Respect recording laws and people’s reasonable expectations of privacy.

You grant Nagi Labs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to store, reproduce, process, resize, edit to apply features such as filters, transcode, display, perform, and distribute User Content as reasonably needed to operate, provide, improve, secure, and support the Service, carry out your sharing choices, moderate content, and comply with law. We may exercise this license through providers working for us and transfer it with the Service. It does not give us ownership of your content or a general right to use your private media in advertising.

The license continues for as long as we retain the content for those purposes, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law. Through Roll’s intended features, you authorize access by other participants, including saving or sharing where available. Their independent copies may remain after you remove content, leave a Roll, or delete your account.

Access to another person’s content does not transfer ownership or permit unlawful use. Only copy or use it when you have permission or another lawful right. Filters and other processing can change appearance, quality, format, or metadata; outputs are not guaranteed to match an original file or every preview.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Roll to:

• break the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, impersonate others, defraud, harass, threaten, or promote violence or hatred;
• create, obtain, or share child sexual abuse material, sexualized depictions of anyone under 18, or content that exploits or endangers children;
• share nonconsensual intimate imagery, sexual violence, or other sexually exploitative or obscene content;
• make covert recordings where people reasonably expect privacy, expose private information without authority, or encourage dangerous or harmful conduct;
• send spam, malicious code, unauthorized solicitations, or abusive or knowingly false reports; or
• scrape data, collect others’ information without authority, disrupt the Service, evade restrictions or suspensions, or probe, reverse engineer, or bypass its security except where applicable law expressly permits it.

These rules apply to media, comments, names, covers, invitations, and other activity. You must also follow applicable venue rules and third-party terms.

6. Safety and moderation

You can report content and block people using available in-app controls or contact safety support. Blocking hides content and restricts certain interactions, with account-based blocks synchronized across supported devices. It does not remove someone from the Service, erase their content for everyone, or guarantee that they cannot encounter your content through another account or a shared copy.

We may review reports and related content, use automated safeguards and human review, limit visibility or interactions, remove content, suspend or terminate access, preserve evidence, or contact authorities when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement. We may act without advance notice where appropriate. We do not promise to review every item before it appears or detect every violation.

If you believe a decision was mistaken, contact us with enough information to identify it. Our intimate-image removal process is available without a Roll account. Do not send illegal or intimate images to support; provide information that helps us locate the content. Roll is not an emergency service. Contact local emergency services for immediate danger.

7. Copyright complaints

If you believe content infringes your copyright, email contact@tryroll.photos with your contact information and signature, identification of the protected work, enough information to locate the disputed content, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is unauthorized by the owner, its agent, or law, and a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for them.

We may remove or restrict disputed content and terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. We may share a notice with the person who provided the content. If your content was removed by mistake, contact us about the available response process.

8. Availability, storage, and service changes

A timed Roll generally stays live for about 24 hours, followed by about 24 hours to save media after it ends. Hosts may schedule a Roll, start it early, or end it sooner. Where available, an unlimited Roll has no preset end time; its save window begins when the host ends it. Follow the timing shown in the app and save anything important before access expires.

Expiration limits access; it does not guarantee deletion of every stored copy. After the save window, full-quality viewing, downloading, and sharing may become unavailable, while thumbnails, covers, and limited history may remain. Retention and deletion are governed by our Privacy Policy. We may change availability, storage practices, and limits as the Service evolves, subject to applicable notice, consent, and legal requirements. Retention does not promise future access or recovery.

Roll uses caching, temporary device storage, compression, and transfer recovery to improve performance. Downloads or uploads may occur automatically as part of using a feature or resuming a transfer, according to available settings. Data Saver, connectivity, storage space, permissions, and device restrictions can affect timing and quality. A pending capture or preview is not confirmation that its full-quality upload succeeded.

Uploads, downloads, saves, and reminders can fail, be delayed, or become unavailable. Local copies may be cleared, and retries are subject to the Roll’s access and recovery limits. Roll is not a backup service. Keep independent copies of media you want to preserve.

We may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features and set storage, upload, membership, or other usage limits. “Unlimited” describes the absence of a preset Roll end time, not unlimited storage, capacity, or guaranteed service forever.

Apple, Google, app stores, sharing services, and third-party websites have their own terms and practices. We do not control or endorse their services. If no custom software license is presented for an app obtained from Apple, Apple’s Standard EULA also governs the app software. Our analytics and advertising measurement practices are explained in our Privacy Policy.

9. Ending use and ownership of Roll

You may stop using Roll at any time. Use available account controls or contact us to request deletion. Deleting a host account also removes its hosted Rolls and may make everyone’s contributions to them unavailable. Leaving a Roll removes your membership and initiates cleanup of your contributions. Signing out or uninstalling the app is not an account-deletion request. Other people’s saved or shared copies are outside our control.

We may suspend or terminate access or remove content for violations, safety or security risks, legal requirements, inactivity, or operational reasons, subject to applicable law. We are not required to mediate disputes between participants.

Nagi Labs and its licensors own the Service’s software, design, branding, and other materials, excluding User Content. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purposes. You may not use our branding or claim our endorsement without permission. We may use feedback you voluntarily provide to improve or develop our products without compensation or obligation to you.

10. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without express or implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure service, compatibility with every device, accurate or lawful User Content, successful transfers, or preservation or recovery of content or accounts. You are responsible for deciding what to share and how to participate in events. We do not guarantee the conduct of hosts, participants, or third parties.

11. Liability and indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nagi Labs and its members, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, goodwill, opportunity, or data, arising from the Service or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility. This includes losses relating to unavailable or lost media, failed transfers, shared access, User Content, or conduct of other users or third parties.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of US $10 or the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory of the claim, to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights. Where an exclusion or limit is not permitted, our liability is limited to the extent the law allows.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the Nagi Labs parties harmless from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable expenses, including legal fees, arising from your User Content, events you organize, misuse of the Service, breach of these Terms or law, or infringement of another person’s rights. We may control the defense of a covered claim, and you agree to reasonably cooperate. You may not settle a claim imposing an obligation on us without our written consent.

12. Disputes and general terms

Disputes. Please first contact contact@tryroll.photos with your concern and requested resolution. New York law governs these Terms, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Disputes belong in the state or federal courts in New York County, New York, and each party consents to those courts, except where applicable law gives you a nonwaivable right to another law or forum.

General. These Terms and any applicable feature terms form the agreement between you and Nagi Labs about the Service. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it with a reorganization, merger, financing, or transfer of the Service. We are not responsible for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Provisions that should reasonably continue after termination, including content licenses to the extent stated, ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and disputes, survive.

Changes. We may update these Terms and will revise the date above. We will give notice of material changes and their effective date through the Service or another appropriate method, and seek agreement where required by law. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. If you disagree, stop using the Service.
